The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Today Bubble is 18 weeks. I had my regular obstetrician appointment today and all went well. My bp is good and he is happy with my progress. He also let me have another look at Bubble. It's amazing how much it has grown since last month! I could see the different facial features - eyes, nose, mouth, even the skull at times. I was able to hear Bubble's heartbeat which was very strong and good. Its arms are heaps longer than the first ultrasound and it was moving around so much! I can't wait for next week when we go for the ultrasound and get different pictures. That was the good.

The bad was that I have had a tummy ache for around 6 hours. Not very fun. Lying very still made it feel better at times, but then it would start to hurt again. I was thinking it was sore because I hadn't eaten since lunchtime and I'm supposed to be snacking so when it came to dinner, even though I didn't want to eat, I did. It was kinda like the first few months - forcing myself to eat because I knew I should.

The ugly was when brushing my teeth. The brushing part was fine, but straight after, my tummy ache led to me being sick, repeatedly. Fortunately I was over the sink already so it was all contained but it sure wasn't fun! I haven't been sick since I was in primary school (atleast I think that was the last time). I don't cope well with being sick. Fortunately I had prepped James about that fact so he was amazing tonight! Tears, shakes and all, he was there holding me, getting me water and looking after me. I scored well with him. The worse part though was that I clogged up the sink so James is on a mission to get some drain clearer so that the ugly can go away.

I am praying that I don't get sick again! I really hope that I don't. I think it was some yoghurt that I ate but I'm not sure. I hope that Bubble is ok too. I now need to convince my brain that I have finished and that I am ok now so my body can relax and sleep well tonight. Hopefully my brain and body both agree with that.

What a yucky night! :-(

We worked out a name!

So after having people ask us if we have a name for bubs while in my tummy, James and I have finally come up with a name for it!

After calling it Bubs and Bubba Noble, I was thinking about different names that could come up if you meshed the 2 together. After a few attempts I got it...

So you can now say hello to 'Bubble' (short for Bubba Noble :-D)

We started setting up the Nursery.

So James told me off today for not blogging for ages, but the reason for that is that there is not much going on with bubs and my tummy, no real news to report. But as I got in trouble, I'm being a good girl and am posting.

Hervey Bay was a lovely holiday. It was so nice to be able to relax and hang out with James' family. It really was a lovely time. It's pretty crazy to think that next time we head up to Queensland, there will be 3 of us. Wow.

On Friday James went and got a truck so we could do some moving of things for the Nursery. So we moved to Mum and Dad's place the single fold-out couch and moved to our place Grandma K's cupboard (as there's no inbuilt wardrobe in that room) and the baby change table. It is weird to walk past now and see the room quite set up. Here is how it looks now with rocking chair, cot, bassinet, change table and cupboard.

So guess there is some news (sorry for forgetting :-D).

Also, as I said I was waiting for my tummy to start getting bigger before I put up tummy photos. Well, it isn't really getting bigger, but it is there so here are a couple of pictures of my tummy (which will probably start growing soon).
This was my tummy at around 12 weeks.
This is my tummy today - 16.4 weeks. I can't suck that little bump in anymore so bubs is definitely there.

Also, yesterday we took Oscar out for a day adventure. While it was lots of fun, I was quite tired by the end of the day. I fell asleep on the couch at 6:30 and didn't wake until around 8pm for dinner. I don't know how mums would do it with having a toddler and being pregnant. You must be exhausted at the end of every day!
